Nadia has been practising as a solicitor for over 17 years and has specialised in the hospitality sector for the last 13 years. She is passionate about both sustainability and the hotels sector where she has developed a thorough understanding of the legal and operational challenges facing both hotel owners and operators.
She is currently Associate General Counsel at Sonder, a San Francisco based hospitality start-up (which recently raised over US$200 million in early summer 2020), heading up their EMEA legal team. Prior to this, Nadia acquired substantial hotel development and operational experience when she was Director of Franchise & Development Counsel EMEAA at IHG and prior to that, Development Counsel EMEA at Hilton Worldwide. Nadia was introduced to the sector where she predominantly acted for hotel owners when she was at Clifford Chance so has a very balanced understanding of issues facing hotel owners and operators.
Nadia brings a great depth of industry knowledge and legal advisory experience to the EEA and looks forward to working with the EEA to develop environmental, social and governance standards, definition and methodologies for the sector.
